Read Philippians 4:4-10
There stands the sentinel.
He is ready to defend, no matter what the attack may look like. His weapons are equal to malicious enemy, natural disaster, or unexpected circumtance.
Not only that, but he will go on the offense if necessary. He is equipped with the tools and strategies, and he has the wisdom to know when to use them.
Who is this undefeatable guard?
He is Peace.
Peace is God’s gift of wholeness, and it is superior to any enemy that may attack your mind.
You may not think of a warrior when you think of peace, yet here he stands all the same.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippains, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
God’s peace will actively display whatever defensive amd offensive means are necessary to guard the battlefield that is your mind.
What enemies try to creep past peace? Is it anxiety? Depression? Bitterness? Idolatry? Fear? Temptation? Peace surpasses all of these when we trust the Lord Jesus. His Holy Spirit produces the fruit of peace that is this great and mighty warrior, this insurmountable guard.
Let peace guard your mind.
What mental enemies do you allow past the guard of Peace?
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Give Him permission to slay your enemies.
