Between Russia invading Ukraine and covid issues, problems fracture us. There are plenty of opinions but very few solutions.
What if we could find all the solutions and be made whole?

Isn’t that what the Ancient Greeks were looking for when they visited the Oracle of Delphi? Columbus searched for answers on every new coast, and Ponce de Leon sought wholeness in the Fountain of Youth.
They were all bitterly disappointed.
Each thought that the thing he sought would bring real healing to the hurts of the world and make it whole again. It is a pernicious lie.
Spiritual lies are so deceptive because we all long to be made spiritually whole. We want the One Answer that suffices for all problems.
Russian writer and dissident Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote against political lies, “[Violence] demands of us only a submission to lies, a daily participation in deceit- and this suffices as our fealty.” His speech, entitled, “Live Not By Lies,” spurred many to reject totalitarian oppression. What if we rejected the spiritual oppression and lies that prevent us from being spiritually whole?
Plug Satan’s name in Solzhenitsyn’s statement in place of “Violence.” Our spiritual enemy does whatever it takes to get us to submit to his lies. The lure of pleasure, the threat of ridicule, the fear of lonliness, and his other wiles coerce us into a daily participation with his deceit, leading us to form false ideas about our own ability to create spiritual wholeness. We give in because his lies pamper our already existent sinful tendencies.
What if all Christians pursued Spiritual Integrity for the 2022 Lenten season? Lent begins March 2nd, and the forty days leading up to Easter are the best time to pursue Spiritual wholeness in Christ.
God told his people in Deuteronomy 8 that “man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” Spiritual Integrity, or wholeness, must begin with the Truth of God’s Word casting out the lies we continually buy from Satan. Which lies trip you up most often and send you on a wild goose chase? Which lies have won your fealty?
God’s Word has the Truth. Christians should not live by lies.
Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.”
Are you up for it? This Lenten season, join me for a daily dive into exchanging Truth for the lies and allowing the Lord to establish Spiritual Integrity in our hearts, as He pours His love in so that we can love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. You can find daily encouragement beginning March 2nd at www.sarahdixonyoung.com.
Solzhenitsyn concluded, “For when people renounce lies, lies simply cease to exist. Like parasites, they can only survive when attached to a person.”
Let’s seek the Truth together and be made whole.
