More Light in the Darkness…

This is the Spring writing update that went out to all my email subscribers. If you would like to sign up for my (very occasional) writing updates, please subscribe HERE.

Dear Reader,

The resurrection that occurs at the end of bitter winter never ceases to amaze me. We had three inches of snow here yesterday, but today, the birds are singing. Spring is on the way.
It has not been an idle winter. I have three works in progress, and I’d appreciate your prayers for each one…

1. His Beloved: Stories of Redemption from Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women … This is a work of nonfiction that aims to plunge the depths of redemption by juxtaposing truths from the Book of Hosea with interviews I have done with my sisters in Christ who have been redeemed from the pain of sexual abuse, sin, and/or addiction. I am in the process of interviewing these ladies and piecing together their stories into one coherent whole that will glorify God and show His power as Redeemer.

2. Head, Shoulders, Knees, & Toes: Made for Salvation … This is the summer Sunday school curriculum that I will use with both our family worship time at church and in the neighborhoods I will visit during the week. Children need to be given the invitation to know their Creator and His love for them. I am hoping to share the Gospel through these Bible studies in several  different neighborhoods this summer.

3. The Mountain’s Hope Trilogy … Bandersnatch Books has offered to publish The Mountain’s Hope Bearer, The Mountain’s Healer, and The Mountain’s Sacrifice throughout 2027 & 2028. Therefore, I have been hard at work making these works of middle grade fiction the best they can be. I have just completed the second draft of The Mountain’s Healer and am excited to begin the final leg of the journey with The Mountain’s Sacrifice. It is especially exciting to begin working with a traditional publisher and see God-glorifying adventure stories come to life.

……

I hope to see you at one of my speaking engagements this Spring! I will be at King’s Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL on April 11th, joining their ladies’ group for a picnic style night of fellowship and encouragement. I will also be speaking at Calvary Evangelical Free’s Spring Women’s Conference in Rugby, ND on April 26th. We will be exploring The Place of Prayer in our lives. Please say hello if you are at either of these events! ….

Continued in the email.
